Young Living Essential Oils

As most of you are aware, I am a distributor for Young Living Essential Oils.  I go back and forth with actively selling the oils.  I have had periods of time when I was quite active, in between much more common and lengthy periods of inactivity.  Some of you have voiced interest in the oils and I have not been on the ball for you. I would like to apologize about that.

I greatly enjoy doing research and my life is in a place where I’m interested in actively selling again.  If you have any questions, concerns or personal stories you’d like to ask or share with me, please do, either publicly or privately.  I will devote one to two days a week to responding to these kinds of questions. 

If you have a question but feel fearful I will try to push things on you and this holds you back, please allow me to assure you that I will not push anything on you.  I will answer your question to the best of my ability and leave it up to you to decide whether you’d like to try the oils or oil infused products available through YLEO or not.  I’m also not entirely biased to this company.  If I think there is a better product on the market that YL does or does not produce, I do not shy away from sharing that information as well.

Snapshot of Yesterday Afternoon

The sky is a powdery blue today.  The land is blanketed in a thick layer of snow.  A blustery wind blows chilly air all around outside.  The latest top 40 countdown is playing in the background while I write various overdue blog topics.  I am wearing ear plugs.  The children are playing to my right in the living room, building pillow forts.  Daddy is working on a project in the shop.  It has been a graceful day, unrushed yet full of things getting accomplished; cooking, shopping, talking, loving, eating, cleaning.

It is a good day.

Fitness

In my ever cycling relationship with health and fitness, I’ve recently come out of a slump.  About four months ago I found the motivation to start caring for myself physically once again.  The beauty of falling into a slump at all is that starting again is so much easier once you’ve done it before. 

I jumped back into my intense workouts without working myself up to it.  It may have been a bit of a mistake to push myself that hard all at once to begin with (intense cardio followed by weights followed by stretching that lasts approximately 2 hours total).  It took a lot out of me. 

I was sad to have to cut back.  But, in doing so, I’ve continued to experience noticeable progress; so much so that it kind of snuck up on me.  Four months ago I was a size 10-12.  Now I’m back down into a size 6 and I didn’t even realize it until I put on an old pair of jeans. It was a pleasant surprise.

Pushing myself hard increased my strength and muscle mass and changed my body in a more visible way.  But working out in a more moderate way helped me to lose weight more rapidly, it seems. 

I just felt like sharing.  J  Does anyone else feel like sharing their latest fitness experiences?  I’d love to hear about it!

Fun and Games - Play with Me!

I had to pick my son up from school early today.  I'm not sure how we got on this topic, but he decided to share his thoughts about a friend who sold their home.  In his opinion, this person should not have sold his home.  It was a nice house.  Why?  He had a Wii!!  He then listed a few other nice perks of this person's ex home and followed up by saying he missed the people too.

I laugh at his thought process but am I any different?  Not really.  Does it mean he doesn't love the people themselves, very much?  No.  He does love them.

It's fun to be able to determine where thoughts originate and then to follow them as they trigger an avalanche of new but related thoughts.  Some people make a habit of practicing the free flow of thoughts.  Shall we do a little of that here together?

I'll start.

Rabbits jump.  Some are fluffy and white.  I like jumping down the figurative rabbit hole.  Sometimes I get lost down there and need help coming back up for the air in reality.  What is reality?  Can color be thought of a "real" or is it all a matter of perception?

Sinus Infection

You want to read about something unpleasant?  Sinus infections are unpleasant.  You start out with a cold.  You think, "Oh I'll be better in no time.  Plans this weekend?  Make 'em.  It'll be all good."  But noooo.  BAM! You get worse instead because the cold gets all complicated on your butt and decides to become a sinus infection. 

Stupid sinus infection.

Ok.  Fine.  So, you go to the walk in clinic and get some antibiotics.  You take them faithfully, figuring, "So my cold got worse instead of better.  No biggie.  Once I take these little buggers, I'll be better.  Plans next weekend?  Make 'em!  It'll be all good."  Guess what??  Nope.

ARGH!  Sinus infection.  Grrrr.....MORE antibiotics.  I've missed work.  I've missed social outings.  I've missed sleep.  I know many, many people have it much worse.  So, thanks to those of you who do for suffering through this complaint.  You are loved.

I'm starting to feel better.  Should I make plans this weekend or not?  What do you think?
